Summary Post: Japan

Well, Japan was an amazing (albeit expensive) country! Such an awesome mix of western and eastern cultures.

Here are the numbers!

• Days in country: 31
• Days riding: 16 (And a few more days of a little bit of riding to get to and from ferries)
• Kilometres ridden: 1129km
• Running total (nearest 10km): 9200km
• Accom cost: ~YEN70,000 ($NZ1,070) (Pretty much all hostels, nasty!)
• Other costs: ~YEN145,000 ($NZ2200) (Lots of money went on ferries to get between islands and to China, as well as some camera gear)
• Favourite food/drink: Karaage chicken- the Japanese really do know how to make tasty deep friend chicken!
• 1 nights in a campground, 27 night in a hostel, 1 Couchsurfing and 3 on ferries!
• Favourite photos (a few because it was a whole month): East and West, Children in Hiroshima, Boats in Kyoto, Bamboo Forest and Nagasaki at night.
